Job Description
With a deep understanding of the market data global estate, you will provide guidance to maximize budget efficiency, ensure timely delivery of technology orders, and retire legacy services promptly to minimize spend. You will also seek opportunities to implement cost-saving measures across the infrastructure estate.
As a Lead Technical Program Manager - Infrastructure and Finance Manager in Market Data Services, you will be responsible for the accurate planning and budgeting of all infrastructure and software expenditures. Your role will involve ensuring that all infrastructure and software demands are correctly entered based on project timelines, managing forecasts and budgets, and resolving any inaccuracies in the monthly technology bill. You will take ownership of the Infrastructure Planning Process during the budget cycle, ensuring cost and service estimations are accurate for deliverables and their respective dates.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of technology solutions.
- Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing contingency plans to maintain project and program momentum.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior leaders and corporate technology product owners, to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Utilize advanced analytical reasoning to assess program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven optimizations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Champion the adoption of best practices in infrastructure cost management (distributed and cloud), fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management or infrastructure support, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
- Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, with the ability to establish productive working relationships and influence decision-making across cross-functional teams and clients
- Advanced experience in utilizing technical fluency, to enable effective management of the infrastructure estate
- Proven track record of effectively managing resources, budgets, and high-performing teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities
- Strong understanding of technology infrastructure (distributed and cloud)
- Strong Excel & JIRA skillset and knowledge of FINOPS
- Excellent attention to detail, presentation skills, and the ability to multitask
- Flexible work approach), with the ability to work with minimal supervision post-training
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience with Market Data Infrastructures & Products such as TREP, BPOD, Data Contributions, Solace Systems, etc
- FinOps certification and knowledge of AI & Cloud technologies
- Data analysis and SQL skills are an advantage
