Sinch is seeking a talented and experienced Lead System Engineer/Team Lead to join our dynamic organization. As a Team Lead at Sinch, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled professionals and driving their success in achieving team goals and targets. Your role will involve managing and developing team members, coordinating team activities, and providing guidance and support to ensure the team's performance and overall success.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to achieve team goals and targets
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance
  • Coordinate and monitor team activities to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and productivity
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to achieve shared goals and objectives
  • Track and analyze team performance metrics and provide reports and recommendations to management
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in team leadership and management
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a leadership position, preferably in a similar industry
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proven past experience as a System Engineer or similar role
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
  • Experience with monitoring systems
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)

Who are you?

Experience : 4 to 8 yrs

  • Educational Qualification : B.Tech./B.E/BCA/BSc(IT)
  • MYSQL installation and backup and query execution
  • Tomcat & NginX Webservers installation and management
  • Server hardening and security

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have:

  • Knowledge of Messaging queue, Oracle, shell scripts
  • RHCE - Certification
