The Lead System Designer for Cytiva is responsible for product functionality and quality, including specifications, component & equipment selection and regulatory compliance. Your daily activities are to work closely with the other design fields (Mechanical, Automation and Electrical design) as well as Production-and Verification teams to ensure all vital requirements are gathered and implemented into the product

This position is part of the Custom Engineering, Life Cycle Management team located in Uppsala, Sweden and will be on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Be part of the Change Control Board (CCB) core team and responsible for activities associated with change requests (ECR´s/ECO´s) for existing pre-defined and configurable product offerings. You will make investigations, suggest solutions and implement approved changes. 
  • Engaged in all phases of life cycle management and sustaining engineering including planning, design, development, documentation, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing and service support 
  • Participate in technical reviews and collaborative technical forums 
  • Involved in standardization activities for CBS custom products 
  • Working in a quality focused, dynamic environment in a team of 15, with long experience and deep knowledge of CBS, our products and customers
  • Are responsible for Product care of a assigned product, by keeping track, monitor, support and coordinate activities, changes and improvements for that product.

Who you are:

  • This position requires a BSc, MSc or PhD in Engineering, Physics or Biotechnology, or equivalent knowledge 
  • Experience from Life Science or similar industry
  • You are quality focused preferably with experiences from project management and from regulatory controlled environments 
  • As a person you enjoy working in smaller teams and you have excellent communication skills 
  • You are a self-starter, energizing and results oriented. It is important to be service minded, comfortable in leading others as well as being a problem solver 
  • You need to be proficient in Swedish and English languages, both written and verbal 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • You have previous detailed experience within product- or process development with a strong technical interest
