This is an opportunity to work with Salesforce’s Tableau Solution Engineering team. The team is made up of data and analytics professionals who work with customers to solve their business problems with Tableau’s world leading analytics platform. We are looking for a Lead/Principal Solution Engineer to join our team of data rockstars. This individual will play a pivotal role in supporting our customers’ and our sales teams’ success by providing technical expertise in the field of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI).Responsibilities:

  • Engage customers and collaborate with account teams to understand their needs with respect to how data and analytics can help the customer’s business succeed and transform, and how customers can build a data culture.
  • Demonstrate how Tableau helps customers drive value through tailored demos and guided evaluations.
  • Conduct workshops for customers to understand the platform and drive adoption across multiple groups and stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to our customers, guiding them on best practices, and informing their data and analytics strategies.
  • Develop and sustain expert level knowledge of all aspects of the Tableau Platform, including Data Management, Data Visualization, Agentic Analytics, Governance, Architecture, Security, and Scalability across On-Prem, Cloud and SaaS offerings.
  • Lead technical responses to RFPs/RFIs
  • Build and Nurture technical ownership with senior stakeholders across corporate and public sector organizations.
  • Work closely with product management teams to stay updated on our latest developments and provide feedback from the field.
  • Create reusable assets that act as a force-multiplier for the extended teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • 12 - 18 years of hands-on experience in Analytics, Data Management, Data Warehouse/Lakehouse, or related technologies
  • Solid data and analytics problem solving skills.
  • Strong background in at least one Analytics Platform (Tableau, SAC (SAP), MS Fabric/PBI, Qlik, SAS, OAC/OAS (Oracle), etc.)
  • Excellent listening, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and customers
  • Post Graduate Degree or equivalent proven experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core proficiencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with predictive analytics and AI, especially machine learning. Working knowledge of data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks; ML platforms such as Azure ML, Amazon SageMaker, Google Vertex, etc; as well as R and/or Python
  • Working knowledge of web technologies such as JavaScript, security protocols, application integration and
