The Lead Solutions Architect is an innovative technical expert in Workiva’s Financial Reporting suite of solutions and part of the Managed Service Provider (MSP) team. This team works with the worlds leading advisory and outsourcing companies who are increasingly using Workiva to provide ‘Managed Services’ to their customers. Examples include outsourced Statutory Accounts Preparation, Tax Reporting and Fund Administration. Workiva has formed a dedicated team that brings deep expertise in onboarding and scaling successful MSP practices, while providing assurance throughout the implementation process.
This role serves as a trusted technical advisor to MSP customers, enabling them to deliver transformative services at exceptional scale using Workiva’s technology. The Lead Solutions Architect forms a key bridge between our customers, delivery and R&D/product teams. The role collaborates closely with all groups to find and implement solutions that address the unique needs of our MSP customers. This role is also expected to contribute to the wider Solution Architect community at Workiva through activities such as developing training materials, taking part in new product releases and mentoring junior colleagues.
What You’ll Do

Develop deep technical knowledge in the Workiva platform and it’s application to financial reporting use cases, through a commitment to accelerated training and hands on build work

Lead and advise on the delivery of exceptional quality consulting services to MSP customers

Lead and support other services team members to carry out detailed discovery sessions to understand business needs and requirements

Help define MSP service delivery models with our consulting services scoping team

Create solution designs that allow MSPs to transform their existing processes using Workiva and provide value added services to their customers

Directly and indirectly interface with MSPs to deliver complex solutions

Work with product teams to understand how new product updates will impact implementation standards and capabilities

Successfully guide and mentor peers, assist in onboarding of new team members, and lead on-going training efforts.

Develop documentation of Workiva platform best practices for use in implementation standardization

Perform assessments to review the quality of solution configurations and identify opportunities for improvement
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications
-
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
-
8+ years of experience in a service delivery role, finance, accounting, audit, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with ERP, GRC, GL, FP&A, Tax or Analytics & Reporting solutions and their related technology platforms

Strong understanding of the processes within an organization’s Finance & Accounting functions

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to present complex topics clearly and succinctly

Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement

Capable of developing, training, and mentoring others within the organization.

Ability to influence and drive change in business processes

A strong individual contributor with intellectual curiosity to positively impact the ability to manage multiple projects, programs, and processes

Enhanced technology knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace applications

Familiarity with data architecture schemas preferred

Experience with any of the following: SQL, JSON, REST, or Python is a plus

Demonstrated ability to curate and maintain customer-first relationships
