As a Lead Software Engineer on Workflow Automations, you will play a crucial role in helping create products that make our customers' lives easier. We are a set of three subteams. Our product teams enable employees to set up and automate complex business processes via intuitive experiences. Our platform team builds scalable capabilities that unlock automations for other product use cases throughout the company. Together we are building an experience that will enable Personio to effortlessly satisfy the most demanding of customers.
Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Responsibilities:
    • Lead the design and implementation of complex software solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and quality assurance to deliver high-quality software products.
    • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
    • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
    • Investigate and resolve technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • How you'll go about it:
    • Influencing and strengthening team culture while identifying areas for improvement.
    • Demonstrate technical excellence through hands-on involvement in projects and continuous learning.
    • Maintain open and clear communication and foster a collaborative work environment.
    • Ensure that technical documentation is comprehensive and up-to-date.
    • Uphold high coding standards.
    • Continuously drive innovation.


Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ yrs of experience in software engineering or a relevant technical role.
  • Strong backend engineering proficiency (Kotlin, Java, Scala, PHP, Python, Ruby, etc)
  • Experience working with distributed systems and microservices.
  • Proven track record of technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Salary Range
$195,000 to $218,00 per year, plus equity and benefits.

Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate's final level and final location. Also, this range represents base salary only and does not include equity, or benefits, if applicable.
