Job Title: Lead Regional Business Developer
Department: Onshore Management
Reports to: Director - Business Development
Location: Remote, Rocky Mountain, Desert Southwest
The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $142,039 - $177,549
The Lead Regional Business Developer will develop and maintain a portfolio of business opportunities including Greenfield development and acquisition of facilities in the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities
Manage site development of wind energy projects including establishment of site control, permitting of project sites, and management of community relations.
Support project acquisition efforts including due diligence on potential acquisitions and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements.
Be a key point of contact for project stakeholders, including landowners and local county officials.
Strategically identify new business opportunities and work with internal technical support teams.
Adhere to effective internal controls, including providing project development budgets, schedules, and other updates as required by senior management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or a directly related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
8+ years’ experience in energy project development.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
Proven experience in contract negotiation and project management.
Proficiency in Windows based business software applications, including Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or directly related field.
Experience in wind power development.
Experience in project management.
