This role needs a product leader with a keen understanding of market dynamics and strategic thinking, combined with strong communication, emotional intelligence, and organizational skills. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including peer product managers across different business lines, to help define the vision and deliver AI/ML-powered innovations across SailPoint's portfolio, delivering value for our customers.

What will I be doing?

  • Closely partner with the data science team in working across SailPoint Product teams to deliver new functionality as well as to iterate on existing features.
  • Participate in all areas of the product lifecycle from ideation, user research, gathering requirements, to launch readiness
  • Drive product innovation through feedback from our customers, internal stakeholders and partners, as well as product analytics and market research
  • Engage with stakeholders to scope work, understand the impact, and gain consensus
  • Partner with engineering to develop, prioritize and manage the product backlog in a lean/agile environment. Influence product direction across functional engineering teams (frontend, backend, data science, ML Ops, data engineers, etc.)
  • Maintain roadmap and coordinate adoption of deliverables with other product lines
  • Help define success metrics and measure the impact and results of new solutions
  • Represent SailPoint at industry events and with strategic customers and prospects


What will I need?

  • 5+ years of experience successfully bringing AI-powered products to market in a product manager role working closely with both data scientists and data engineers
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability, and confidence, to communicate and land messages across both technical, and non-technical, audiences
  • Experience ideating, shipping and iterating products with an AI/ML component
  • Experience managing enterprise SaaS products in a rapidly growing industry
  • Demonstrable success working in a data-driven, outcome-oriented environment using frameworks like OKRs (objectives and key results)
  • Demonstrated success in working with user experience and engineering teams to research, plan, develop, refine, and launch successful enterprise SaaS products
  • Proven experience working with product marketing, marketing, and sales to successfully launch new products and enhancements to the market
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills


Preferred but not required:

  • BA/BS in computer science or engineering field
  • Completed additional training/courses related to building AI infused products
  • Background in the cybersecurity industry


Location + Travel

  • Our team is distributed all over the globe with our headquarters in the booming city of Austin, Texas. We care less about where you work from and more about ensuring your happiness from where it is you choose to work.
  • As part of fostering a healthy remote culture, we do bring our teams together every few months, so plan to gather for collaboration and innovation summits every quarter
  • You can expect 10-15% travel to attend customer meetings, industry events, and team gatherings


Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint's differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$147,140 - $210,200 - $273,260
Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee's home location.
