The Product Engineer under the Critical Care function for Cytiva is responsible for address design related customer complaint and production down issues for Upstream and Fluid Management products. We safeguard manufacturability of products starting at product development, continuously seeking for improvements, secure highest quality and safety for our customers to advance and accelerate therapeutics.
This position is part of the Critical Care function under Product Engineering. The position is located in Medemblik, Netherlands and will be an on-site position. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
- Root cause analysis of design related customer complaints and production issues
- Visit customers when necessary to support investigations
- Supporting innovative initiatives and product launches by providing feedback from customer and production issues
- Improve design for reliability
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in either; Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar
- Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience in Bioprocessing, BioPharma, or related engineering field of work
- Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving strategies; including root cause analysis of component failures, risk assessments, component and system level interactions, and verification test development and analysis
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbally, to clearly communicate technical findings and results to internal stakeholders and customers; including technical plans and reports, verification test protocols and reports, and PowerPoint presentations
- Hands on technical ability to design, prototype and conduct testing of fluid management products; including plastic consumable parts, hardware and software systems, and fluid management systems
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Project management experience; including leading technical projects, tracking progress and communicating progress out to stakeholders and/or customers
- Root cause analysis experience (fishbone, 5 why’s, is-is not analysis)
- Strong presentation and communications skills
