A Lead Product Compliance Engineer is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on approach, mindset, and process. This involves activities that consider both the business and technical needs of customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users' needs. You will work closely with design, supply chain and external certification bodies to secure approvals and maintain compliance across multiple programs.
 

As a Lead Product Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Communicating standards to the design community and maintaining those standards
  • Act as the primary compliance authority for product development teams, providing regulatory guidance and approval pathways.
  • Reviewing and understanding the applicable standards required by Law in the country that apply to the relevant products
  • Ensure compliance with – for example - CE, UKCA, UL, IEC, FCC, RoHS, REACH, ATEX, and other relevant standards.
  • Working with independent third parties to perform product compliance and certification work (testing, design review, etc.) and communicating results/actions to the relevant engineering and supply chain team
  • Interacting with outside engineering firms, testing labs, or government agencies to provide or record product compliance to required regional or national standards to gain the needed product certification or qualification
  • Developing new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
  • Leading analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college – in engineering, compliance, or a related field
  • Have a minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Technical Regulations and Standards compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of global technical regulations and standards.
  • Be able to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
  • Have the ability to coordinate and manage several projects simultaneously
  • Be able to commute onsite Monday – Friday to our Minden, NV facility.

The annual pay scale for this position is between $80,800.00 - $150,100.00.

Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes’ good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. Where an applicant will ultimately fall within the pay range/scale depends on a variety of factors, including, for example, geographic work location, skillset, qualifications, internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated performance over time. Please keep in mind that the range stated above is the full base salary range for the role and does not include other forms of compensation. Your recruiter can share more about the pay range for this position during the hiring process.

You will have a choice of coverage options that best suit your needs. This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package, which can be found here, and is further eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses subject to the terms of the applicable benefit plans or policies.
