We are looking for a Lead Pricing Analyst that has strong experience analyzing internal pricing data, competitive pricing intelligence and internal margin/profitability objectives to determine the best value that both meets our customers’ demands and Convera’s best interests. You will be part of building this new capability and function for the organization!
In your role as Pricing Lead, you will...
- Drive pricing strategy development and execution across markets and business segments, as well as executive communications to deliver measurable outcomes (i.e. incremental revenue, margin improvement)
- Question the status quo, pressure test our direction and drive strategic decisions by crisply framing problems, potential paths and trade-offs
- Lead successful execution of Convera’s pricing strategy to achieve the targeted outcomes
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses using internal (e.g., financials) and external (e.g., benchmarks) sources to support the pricing strategy development
- Including moderately complex business case development and financial modeling
- Including data and statistical analysis for pricing models, and creating cost/expense forecasting
- Including defining the opportunities and risks of our current and new pricing approach; identify and assess the viability and size of impact
- Providing global deal review support to global sales team
- Serving as the point of contact and subject matter expert on deal constructs, special pricing and ad hoc troubleshooting of deal issues and sales escalations
- Tracking and monitoring deal performance and ensuring adherence to our pricing, quote to contract processes and policies for our sales team
- Thinking critically and proactively to identify improved processes and approaches and synthesizing information from multiple sources to drive deal execution across all sales verticals
- Build thought leadership in market & competitive insights to inform Convera's pricing strategy and execution
- Understand Convera's business model, value proposition and the business landscape we operate in to provide credible and foundational context for the team's work
- Understand, develop insights on, and communicate the most impactful customer, market and macro-level pricing trends
- Develop insights on competitive trends, and deep understanding of competitors' business models, value propositions and pricing models
- Support development and execution of the technology roadmap for Convera’s future pricing engine
- Build a future view of the pricing product roadmap working closely with the technology team in line with the overall pricing strategy
- Syndicate the product roadmap with internal cross-functional stakeholders
- Support build, testing and rollout of various phases of the pricing engine evolution
- Collaborate with colleagues across business lines, functions, and markets to drive success of our pricing program, make recommendations, rollout changes and enable Convera to move quickly
- Effective in a hybrid work environment, combining virtual work with in-person meetings.
- Working knowledge of and experience in pricing strategies and implementation is a plus
You will ideally have:
- 6+ years of applicable experience, preferably in the banking, payments or foreign exchange industry
- Strong experience with pricing data analysis, synthesis and problem solving
- Strong collaborator, partnership skills, builds relationships, understands how to find common ground
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional courage to take on issues and challenges
- Deals well with ambiguity, can take an idea and turn into execution
- Humble, can-do attitude with a learning mindset and ability to thrive in ambiguity; you are intellectually curious, have a passion for excellence and want to make a big impact
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word as tools in business logic development, analytics/modeling and communication to executive audiences
- High degree of digital / technical literacy preferred
- Experience with/proficiency in relevant database programming languages (e.g. SQL) and BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) a plus
- Bachelor's degree or MBA preferred from an accredited educational institution
- Able to travel as required
