THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As a Lead Market Developer for Nordics you will be part of the Market Development team for Benelux and Nordics where you will be expected to develop the long-term country strategy, translating it into concrete initiatives, and leading their execution. Your focus will be on the Nordics region while working closely with many contributing teams across the business.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

Lead the development of the long-term country strategy and manage the translation into concrete initiatives or projects that you execute or oversee

Build an understanding of the local market conditions and customer expectations, as well as the competitive environment in which Zalando operates to drive and inform strategic decisions drawn from facts

Drive alignment within the extended country team and beyond to support implementation of country strategies

Lead high priority projects/initiatives end-to-end: from briefing, analysis, and creation of concepts, to presenting your findings to the leadership teams and owning the implementation

Shape and champion an inclusive culture and positive team environment
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

7+ years of experience in Ecommerce, Consulting or FMCG, ideally in a Strategy or Business Development role

You are action-oriented team player that is highly organised, self-directed and quick at grasping new topics

You have a passion for ecommerce/fashion/tech, and an understanding of online business models and trends

You are customer centric and bring extensive expertise of local consumers, competitive set, and market dynamics in the Nordics

You enjoy getting into the numbers and have the ability to effectively synthesise and communicate key findings

You are versed in compiling strategy papers and know how to drive decision making in a matrix organisation

You are able to take initiative, use good judgement, manage deadlines and carry multiple projects through to completion

You have a proven high-quality problem solving capability and outstanding analytical skills
