Overview
We are searching for Lead Java Developer to join our rapidly growing Professional Services group in our Center of Excellence in Hyderabad, India. This involves review of functional requirements, review of technical specifications, and development according to specification use cases. Lead Technical Consultant in Professional Services is responsible for the implementation, data migration, upgrade and testing of Mitratech's suite of products at our client sites or remotely.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for Java based development and Integration development for Mitratech software products either client onsite or remotely.
- Create code that meets design specifications, follows standards, is of high quality and is easy to maintain.
- Works with Business Analysts and Project Managers to review requirements and project deliverables and collaborate periodically with tasks updates.
- Writing and/or contributing to Best Practices and SOP documents.
- Works independently as Client facing consultant with Clients to understand issue, troubleshoot and help resolve technical problems.
- Provide input and proposals/recommendations for increasing efficiency in implementation, process improvements, technologies, and tools.
- Ability to carry out all policies and procedures as established by the team, department or company at large.
- Any other tasks that from time to time may be assigned to the role.
- May require working on weekends when there is a business need. Overtime compensation will be paid for such cases.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8-10 years of experience in Java development focused in Web Application development, installation and modification in Web Application.
- 6+ hands-on experience in Java, J2EE programming technologies
- Proficiency in HTML, XML, JSP, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax.
- Strong knowledge & experience in consuming Web Services (SOAP and REST).
- Strong knowledge & experience in DDL, DML SQL and PL/SQL scripting.
- Experience on Oracle or/and SQL Server or relational databases environment.
- Experience in using Eclipse or similar IDE tool.
- Experience on Tomcat Application server environment.
- Knowledge of Authentication and Security protocols like HTTPS, SFTP and SAML.
- Working experience in Software Development methodologies like Waterfall and Agile.
- Proficiency in working in Linux and Windows environment.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Java Programmer Certification or J2EE course work.
- SQL Programmer Certification.
- Experience on WebLogic or WebSphere Application server environment.
- Experience in Subversion and Maven like technologies for Code Repository and builds.
- Hands-on experience on Administering Oracle and SQL Server databases including export/import, logging, archiving.
- Experience with Data Warehouse schema and ETL tool is a plus (Pentaho or SSIS etc.)
Education & Personal Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Open to leading the team as needed.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a can-do attitude.
- Self-motivated, strong team player able to work independently and ability to multi-task.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new technical skills and also train others.
