Position: BPUAA Software Engineer
Ciena’s Blue Planet UAA is an open, vendor -agnostic software suite with the latest innovations in AI and ML. The unit has an advanced development team responsible for end-to-end network insight complements the automated service fulfillment capabilities provided by MDSO and NFVO. We are looking for a Software Engineer who has the experience to drive the activities related to given phase/integration setup installation.
What will you do as a BluePlanet UAA Software Engineer?
Software Engineer will work in BluePlanet’s with project manager, team lead, other leads and team members to provide optimal solutions.
- Understand the overall project, understand phase-wise requirements
- Requirements gathering, analysis and define for a given phase/integration
- Draft and own requirements for an integration with 3rd party tools
- Draft and own requirements for an entire phase within the project
- Create work tasks for a given requirement
- Allocate tasks to junior team members
- Manage tasks for junior team members
- Responsible for quality and timely deliverables
- Coordinate with project manager, team lead, other leads and team members to provide optimal solutions
- Review test plan for various phases/integrations
- Review user guide for various phases/integrations
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree (CS, EE), or equivalent experience required
- Master’s Degree, preferred
- 8+ years of industry experience working on below technologies.
- Must have:
- Java
- On databases such as MySQL, postgres, Oracle or equivalent
- Data Structures and Algorithm
- Multithreading
- Must have:
- Good to have
- Angular and NodeJS
- Neo4J
- Rest API
- Akka
- Kafka
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Python and Shell scripting
- Strong working knowledge of agile/waterfall SW methodologies
- Strong working knowledge on High level and Low Level Software Design.
- Strong working knowledge on unit and integration test development.
- Strong working knowledge on Linux environments.
- Strong written and oral English communication skills
- Process oriented, self-starter, self-motivated individual
