Position Purpose: Provides strategic guidance and expertise to optimize IT systems and streamline business processes. Collaborate with various stakeholders to assess, analyze, and improve workflows, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives.

  • Consults and Contributes in the design and continual improvement of IT processes based on industry best practices and frameworks
  • Ensure the integration and alignment of Service Management Processes (Practices) to enhance delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Provides expert level consultancy services to IT and Business units guiding them on best practices for Service Management
  • Develop strategic plans and road maps to enhance service management capabilities and achieve alignment with overall business goals
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of service management or other IT based processes
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to ensure widespread understanding, agreement and adoption of service management practices
  • Consults and Contributes on organizational change management activities that affect service management processes
  • Continuously evaluates service management processes for improvement opportunities using industry best practices like Lean IT or Six Sigma. Partners with Service or Practice Owners to initiate improvement projects
  • Mature Continual Service Improvement (CSI) Practices
  • Collaborate with IT and Business stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback to refine IT Service Management Processes
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor process performance and to identify insights and opportunities for CSI based activities.
  • Communicates complex topics to own team and coordinates and collaborates on project timelines and continuously reviews, updates and communicates project specifications to the team, members and stakeholders
  • Develops strong interpersonal relationships within their function and across practice owners and stakeholders
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
Requires 5 – 7 years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
5+ years IT service management or related experience required.
5+ years demonstrated knowledge of industry frameworks and best practices: ITIL, Lean IT, SRE, DevOps, Agile, IT4IT required.
Technical Skills:

  • One or more of the following skills are desired.
  • Experience with one or more of the following Business Process; Continuous Improvement Process; Information Technology Infrastructure Library; IT Service Management; Operational Excellence; Process Design; Process Engineering; Service Delivery
  • Knowledge of Agile Management; Agile Software Development; Analytical Techniques; DevOps; Information Technology Operations; Project Coordination; Project Management; Service-Level Agreement; Statistical Methods
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Visio

License/Certification:

  • ITIL Foundations strongly preferred
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) preferred
  • Lean Sigma Master Black Belt Upon Hire preferred

Pay Range: $100,900.00 - $186,800.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
