The Role: Lead Fullstack Engineer - Work Management Team
We're looking for a Lead Fullstack Engineer to join our Work Management Team, based in London. This role is critical to highlighting and facilitating work to be done within the Personio application, ensuring an efficient and just-in-time user experience.
About the Work Management Team
The Work Management Team owns high-traffic and high-usage components crucial to the user's daily processes. The Work Management Team is responsible for:
- Development of solutions and channels for to-do items, reminders and notifications for customers that help their work to be done to be highlighted.
- The inbox, where all of the above converge in a seamless and uniform experience that can be directly actionable.
- Enabling customers to craft their onboarding/offboarding experiences makes this an important part of the user journey.
What You'll Do:
- Develop High-Impact Solutions - Design and build scalable, efficient backend/frontend systems using Kotlin and the JVM stack with a React FE.
- Full-Stack Contributions - The role is sometimes more frontend and sometimes more backend-heavy so you will regularly work between these areas.
- Enhance the On-/Offboarding Experience - Work on the on-/off-boarding experience front and backend to delight and guide our customers.
- Cross-Team Collaboration - Partner with frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and other teams to align on priorities and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Improve System Performance - Optimize API performance, database queries, and caching strategies for high-traffic web solutions.
- Mentor and Lead - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring high engineering standards within the team.
What We're Looking For:
- Ability and willingness to contribute to both frontend and backend work.
- Experience working on high-traffic web applications and large codebases.
- Strong understanding of API design, architecture, and distributed systems.
- Clear, transparent and regular communication is essential for the team and its stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers.
