We are seeking a hardworking Lead Engineer for Cloud Enablement to join our Cloud Foundation sub-Domain. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting and driving our technology transformation strategy, particularly focusing on our cloud initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

As Lead Engineer for Cloud Enablement, you will develop and coordinate Objectives and Key Results for the Cloud Enablement team, ensuring alignment with interpersonal goals and strategic objectives. Being close to our partners, you will inject their needs into our roadmap translating single requests into enterprise-wide services that will contribute to the entire organization.

Sharing and bringing new insights into improvements is an integral part of the role in ensuring that we constantly strive to produce the best possible quality in our products. Be an advocate for LEGO® Cloud strategy and DevOps operating model. Represent the team to both internal developer communities, as well as at external events (such as hosting workshops, Hackathons) and maintain relationships with Cloud Providers.

  • Provide technical direction for the Cloud Landing Zones, and other supporting services (connectivity, compliance, policies, security). Own and build technical product roadmap and objectives, reporting on quarterly key results.
  • Lead budgets associated with cloud enablement activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness.
  • Drive solutions for sophisticated technical challenges (i.e., design, implementation, or operations related issues).
  • Coaching and mentoring less experienced engineers to help build the next generation of strong senior engineers. Drive engagement in the cloud community.

The team is a core team for the LEGO Group, providing foundational capabilities for the entire organization and accelerating their adoption of cloud. We are supporting hundreds of LEGO® engineers, making sure the newest technologies in the cloud space are available for them in a secure and efficient manner. We are also responsible for integrating our services into the internal Developer Portal, to provide product teams with powerful self-service DevOps experience.

The position is based in our new Digital Office in Copenhagen, offering an exciting, inspiring, and flexible work environment – and a little fun play as well!

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in a similar leadership role, successfully delivering cloud technology projects and initiatives, ideally within a multinational organization. We are looking for someone with a consistent track record in architecting, crafting, and developing large-scale distributed systems, as well as solving complex system-level challenges. Expertise will be crucial in driving our cloud initiatives forward.

To succeed in this role, the preferred candidate should ideally have experience in some of the following areas:

  • Extensive experience running and operating infrastructure in cloud, incl. Cloud Landing zones and integration with other systems.
  • Experience with API Integration, infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code and Git.
  • Understanding of the application and service delivery, hybrid/multi-cloud context, and cloud service and infrastructure platform operations.
  • Good teamwork skills with the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Partner engagement and community participation (internal or external)
  • Graduation in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering
  • Confirmed ability to be responsible for budgets successfully.

Advanced English both written and verbally are needed since we are an international gathered team.
