We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team and drive our CI/CD and infrastructure automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kubernetes (K8s), RKE, and Helm, with hands-on experience managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with development, QA, and IT teams to build, scale, and optimize our deployment workflows, ensuring high availability and scalability of our applications in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes (K8s) clusters using RKE (Rancher Kubernetes Engine) to support development and production environments.
• Develop and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments, enabling consistent and automated application releases.
• Create, optimize, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to ensure smooth integration and deployment processes.
• Monitor and improve infrastructure performance and security, implementing best practices for containerized applications.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to automate application builds, tests, and deployments.
• Manage and configure cloud and on-premises resources, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
• Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies to improve processes and support scalability.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Kubernetes (K8s): Experience managing and deploying Kubernetes clusters, with a focus on RKE.
• Helm: Proficiency in creating and managing Helm charts for application packaging and deployment.
• GitLab CI/CD: Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipeline creation, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Containerization: Solid understanding of Docker and containerization concepts.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their container orchestration services.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with tools like Terraform or Ansible for automating infrastructure provisioning.
• Monitoring & Logging: Knowledge of tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack for monitoring and logging.

Good to have skills

• Azure Cloud: Experience with Azure services and infrastructure management.
• Azure Container Apps: Knowledge of Azure Container Apps for deploying containerized applications in Azure.
• Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python.
• Networking: Understanding of networking concepts in cloud and containerized environments.
