PlayStation Studios Mobile is seeking an experienced software engineer to build internal APIs and services supporting the development, publication, and operation of free-to-play mobile games; and to integrate these services with internal systems and tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services and APIs for mobile game development, publishing, and operations
- Integrate these services with tools & systems maintained by teams across the organization
- Establish CI/CD pipeline to facilitate the delivery of high-quality software
- Manage the cloud infrastructure needed to deploy and scale services
- Measure and improve service security, availability, throughput and cost efficiency
- Clearly communicate API & service behaviors to end users and stakeholders
- Influence and contribute to the mobile platform roadmap
Desired Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of professional experience developing backend services handling high volumes of traffic
- Expertise in software architecture, design, and testing of distributed services
- Expertise in API design and security
- Experience as a technical leader in a team setting
- Experience packaging, deploying, and operating containerized services
- Experience developing systems in compliance with global data privacy and security regulations
- Experience in identity resolution for cross-platform mobile games
- Experience managing scalable infrastructure with a major cloud provider (e.g., AWS)
- Strong understanding of big data processing, message queuing, and distributed caches
- Experience with Rust or Golang preferred
- B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent
