JOB DESCRIPTION:
Lead Developers for Chicago, IL location. Lead team to perform end to end software architecture, development and implementation of software applications. Develop migration strategies from on premise to cloud. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and operations to deploy and maintain ETL loads on AWS. Lead deployment, architecture and implementation of cutting-edge analytics environments in on-premise and cloud. Implement data integration solutions on cloud platform. Convert business requirements into technical requirements and implement into software applications. Mentor junior engineers. Technical environment: AbInitio; big data (Hadoop, Hive, MapR, Spark, Pyspark); relational and nonrelational database design; query optimization, data modeling; MySQL, Oracle, Teradata, Postgre SQL; end to end architecture and data integration for on prem and cloud using AWS; Terraform; Dremio; Unix/Linux Shell scripting; Python; Control M, autosys; SQL; Agile Scrum Methodology; system engineering including DevOps, CI/CD environments.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology or related field plus 5 years of progressive experience in Software Development required. Required skills: software development experience with AbInitio (GDE, PSETS, MP, PDL, Conduct IT (Plans and Vectors)); big data (Hadoop, Hive, MapR, Spark, Pyspark); relational and nonrelational database design; query optimization, data modeling; MySQL, Oracle, Teradata, Postgre SQL; end to end architecture and data integration for on prem and cloud using AWS (Glue, Eventbridge, Lambda, CloudFormation, Athena, Step Functions, CloudWatch Log & Alarm, KMS, RDS, Redshift, S3, EC2, SNS, SQS, Sagemaker, EKS, IAM and security services); Terraform; Dremio; Unix/Linux Shell scripting; Python; Control M, autosys; SQL; Agile Scrum Methodology; system engineering including DevOps, CI/CD environments. Some telecommuting permitted.
