Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Lead Data Scientist to join our Pricing Analytics -to join our Enterprise Strategy_Global Parts Pricing team.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Chennai, WTC ,India
What You Will Do:

• Provide thought leadership in ML and AI solution to improve business outcomes.
• Support the data gathering, data mining, and data processing of large volumes of information.
• Explore, promote, and implement data capabilities through machine learning and AI techniques.
• Define requirements and scope of data analyses; presenting and reporting possible business insights to management and peers using data visualization technologies.
• Research machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to improve effectiveness, accuracy, and timeliness of data analyses.
• Coach and lead junior data scientists.

What You Will Have:

• Machine Learning: Extensive knowledge of principles, technologies and algorithms of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and Gen AI; ability to develop, implement and deliver related analysis, ML/AI models, systems, products and services.
• Programming Languages: Extensive knowledge of concepts and capabilities of applying Python programming; ability to use tools, techniques and platforms in order to write effective and efficient programs.
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Extensive understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete complex tasks with high levels of precision.
• Analytical Thinking: Extensive knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
• Requirements Analysis: Working knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

Considerations for Top Candidates:

• Typically, Bachelor's in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, or related quantitative field. Master's degree or greater preferred.
• Extensive experience utilizing Machine Learning techniques such as clustering, classification, regression, outlier identification, NLP, deep neural networks, RNNs, GANS, etc. (typically 6+ years)
• Track record of recognizing opportunities for application of machine learning and AI in making business improvements.
• Expertise in conducting data mining and cleaning initiatives.
• Advanced experience with version control / repositories such as GitHub
• Demonstrated ability to create machine learning/AI models, pipelines, and/or applications in Python, PySpark, etc. using large datasets and putting those models into production.
• Apply Python and its libraries in machine learning, such as Scikit-Learn, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch or similar.
• Fluent in SQL.
• Diagnose, report, and fix programming issues. Support and develop best programming and modeling practice.
• Experience implementing ML/AI solutions in a Cloud environment, preferably AWS.
• Experience with AWS tools like EMR, Sagemaker, ECS, Fargate, etc. a plus
• Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• In-depth technical and problem-solving skills and evidence of continuous learning in the analytics field.

Additional Information:

• The primary location for this position is in Chennai.
• This role requires 3 days work from office

Level Extensive Experience: • Monitors the operation and performance of machine learning projects. • Defines and implements the processes and work flows for machine learning projects. • Selects the appropriate modeling for machine learning projects, and calibrates as necessary. • Explains the logic, algorithms and emerging techniques of machine learning for beginners. • Performs complex tasks and initiatives of machine learning, such as image recognition. • Develops and applies a training framework on the subject of machine learning.
Programming Languages : Knowledge of basic concepts and capabilities of programming; ability to use tools, techniques and platforms in order to write and modify programming languages.
Level Extensive Experience: • Assesses the impact of new productivity improvement tools or techniques for creating and writing programming languages. • Conducts walkthroughs and monitors quality of the development activities. • Consults on key issues and challenges of programming languages associated with the IT environment. • Oversees major developmental efforts adhering to the program's application system design. • Supervises the evaluation of multiple programming languages for diverse environments. • Discusses characteristics and advantages of different programming techniques.
Query and Database Access Tools : Knowledge of data management systems; ability to use, support and access facilities for searching, extracting and formatting data for further use.
Level Extensive Experience: • Writes, debugs and implements complex queries involving multiple tables or databases. • Works with aggregate functions, complex joins, groupings, dynamic and embedded SQL's (Structured Query Languages). • Teaches others about query optimization techniques and facilities. • Consults on query optimization, interactive queries, testing and verification. • Evaluates all major database access tools and functions for distributed databases. • Compares and contrasts the benefits and drawbacks of various SQL products.
