Summary:

In this role, you will manage and own projects and processes. You will drive accountability for defined business results and key operational performance metrics. You will collaborate with senior management and other business leads to evaluate processes and review opportunities for adjustments and/or improvements. You will develop new business operations, analyses, and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop analytical (e.g., machine learning) models to identify attributes of large, “blockbuster” deals.

  • Develop sophisticated and clear forecasting models to project sales volumes by geography, market segment, business area, and product. Train and validate models using historical data.

  • Quantify and characterize the pipeline by geography, market segment, business area and product.

  • Dissect contract renewals from the last three years. Assess the efficacy of each renewal relative to the type of customer, their needs, and contracted Vizient assets.

  • Develop semantic models (e.g., Natural Language Processing) that evaluate various sources of text and how they predict the deal closure.

  • Quantitatively identify at-risk deals that may be “pushed” into the next fiscal year or lost outright.

  • Collaborate with business development leaders to identify potential targets (i.e., “New Logos” or “Greenspace”) for recruitment into Vizient’s products and services.

  • Partner with other groups and departments inside Vizient, with the intent of making research scalable.

  • Build credibility that encourages the leaders to identify the Lead Analysts as a “go-to” person for difficult analyses, sales strategy, and sales forecasts.

  • Support ad-hoc analyses time and professionally, often in MS Excel and prepare executive-ready, on-brand deliverables, often in MS PowerPoint.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field preferred. 

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Advanced capabilities in Excel, Access, SQL, and PowerPoint required.

  • Proficient with statistical modeling, machine learning and NLP (Python, R, SQL). 

  • Experience supporting large professional sales or marketing functions.

  • Experience with data quality and performance improvement initiatives or projects desired.

  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation (HubSpot), and non-traditional datasets (Definitive Healthcare, LinkedIn).

  • Must be proficient with analysis & assessment (qualitative and quantitative) and process improvements.

  • Willingness to travel. 

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $135,400.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
