What you will do

The Lead Analyst, Financial Reporting of the Financial Consolidations and Reporting Systems team is an integral member of the Controller’s group and the Flower Mound Finance Center. This position will be primarily responsible for supporting the preparation of worldwide consolidated financial statements, as well as the consolidation of projections and budgets. 

  • Assistance with the preparation, consolidation, analytical review and delivery of the consolidated financial statements including flash and actual results and analysis of the product line P&L in compliance and alignment with Stryker's policies and Regulatory bodies

  • Assist end users in troubleshooting system usage issues. Must be able to independently research/troubleshoot/resolve financial reporting and system related issues.

  • Create/update data input tools for end users, including Smart View templates for month-end close, budget, and projection loading. 

  • Support divisions with their Financial Data Quality Management (FDM) processes and drive improvement initiatives

  • Provide assistance to the FP&A department in consolidation and review of projections, strategic plans, and annual budget

  • Assistant with monitoring Intercompany matching and eliminations at the consolidated Stryker level

  •  Support preparation of cash flow statements, earnings release calculations, equity footnotes and other equity related disclosures.

  • Support the audit requirements collaboratively with both Stryker Internal Audit and external auditors.

What you need

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting / financial reporting experience

  • Financial statement experience (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow statement)

Preferred:

  • CPA

  • Experience with Hyperion preferred (including HFM, Hyperion Planning, FDM, and Smart View)

  • GAAP Experience

  • A combination of public accounting and industry experience (financial reporting, auditing, or compliance)

You will need to live within commuting distance to our Flower Mound, TX office. You will need to be in the office 2 days (Tues/Wed) a week, but you will have the flexibility to work from home on the other days.

Travel Percentage: 10%
