As Lead Artist / Art Director of the R&D team, you will lead our creative endeavors, propose solutions to unusual requests, establish the pipelines, and ultimately ensure the quality of the art assets the team will deliver. This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to work in the field of the unknown, using the newest tools and techniques and contributing to projects that wouldn’t have been possible in the past.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience as a 2D artist/Art Lead in Game Development
- Excellent knowledge of 2D art, some 3D art and techniques, and related software
- Deep knowledge of artistic anatomy
- Advanced soft skills, ability to communicate your ideas and sell them to the team, management and clients
- Ability to develop a comprehensive and competitive art style for games and maintain it throughout the project
- Ability to keep an eye on the latest popular trends in Game Art
- Upper-intermediate English level
- Ukrainian language Advanced or higher
- Understanding of 3D modeling / texturing processes, techniques & related software
- Knowledge of 2D or 3D Animation, its processes and techniques
- Some experience as an Art Director or Lead Artist in Game Development
- You have shipped games from start to finish in the past
Responsibilities:
- Developing the art vision of projects, leading the creation of a visual style, design, and overall look & feel of games
- Developing concept artwork, defining art style guidelines & processes
- Communicating with clients to identify opportunities for improvement to ensure that the product is of the highest quality
- Leading the art production of internal & external teams, providing detailed feedback to artists
- Participating in the estimation process of new games
- Ensuring that final production art is up to expected standards of design and polish
