OVERVIEW:

Role Responsibilities:

The Learning & Development Program Manager role will help pioneer a new team at DICK'S Sporting Goods called Learning & Innovation Lab designed to function as an experimental hub for DICK'S Sporting Goods' Learning and Development function. This team’s primary purpose is to cultivate leadership capabilities across all levels, from early career programs to executive coaching, while fostering a culture where learning itself is a vital skill. The team approaches learning as a scientific experiment, continuously testing, refining, and evolving methods and technologies to drive innovation in leadership development and organizational learning.​

The Learning & Development Program Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery and evaluation of learning experiences that support the growth and development of our teammates in our Customer Support Center. This role involves consulting with business leaders to assess learning needs, recommending solutions, and partnering with instructional designers and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to ensure the successful implementation of learning initiatives. The Program Manager will play a key role in facilitating leadership development programs and driving a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Consult with business leaders to assess organizational learning needs and recommend effective solutions. Coach and mentor employees to support their professional growth and development.

  • Deliver leadership development experiences that align with the company's strategic goals and facilitate engaging and impactful learning experiences for employees at all levels.

  • Partner with instructional designers to create high-quality learning materials and programs and collaborate with HRBPs to integrate learning solutions into overall talent management strategies.

  • Manage multiple learning and development projects ensuring timely and effective delivery. Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through feedback and data analysis and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the organization.

This role is based in Pittsburgh, PA with a hybrid work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, OD, IO Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, Leadership Development or similar

  • 5-7 years experience in L&D related field

  • 3-5 years Business experience preferably in retail; proven people leader

  • Track record of consulting with business leaders to assess learning needs and recommend solutions.

  • Strong background in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with facilitation of leadership development experiences.

  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and best practices in learning and development.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.

  • High level of creativity and innovation in facilitating learning solutions.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.

  • Passion for learning and development, with a focus on creating a positive impact.

  • Collaborative and inclusive, valuing diverse perspectives and ideas.

  • Adaptable and flexible, able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Continuous improvement mindset, always seeking ways to enhance learning experiences.
