To serve the European Lyreco Countries Intersafe is transformed to a Safety expertise center and operates form the Head Quarter in Dordrecht. The name of this expertise center is Safety Business Unit (SBU).

Your mission

Develop the Safety University to continuously train our marketing and salespeople on products. Different areas to develop are:

  • Safety regulations on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Safety services
  • Product knowledge on PPE
  • Consultative selling skills

In this role you will report to the Global Sales Director of SBU and functionally linked to the Lyreco Group L&D Manager, and you will independently interact with internal and external stakeholders to design & lead the launch of the Safety University. Within the SBU we have an extensive knowledge and expertise regarding the different modules.
This role is key in achieving our ambitious strategic goals to become the first integrated specialized distributor in workplace safety in Europe.
 

Job summary:

In this role you will work closely with all Lyreco countries in Europe to build a deep understanding of their safety business and enable the identification and diagnosis of capability gaps which will affect the safety business from achieving its goals. A key priority will be ensuring that the focus is on working with the business to develop learning activities and programs which tie in with annual business plans and priorities.

This role involves advising the business on suitable learning solutions which will drive organizational performance whilst building strong relationships with a complex range of stakeholders, collaborating and challenging to ensure the best learning solutions are delivered.

You will need to feel comfortable both working on an operational and strategic level as the L&D function is newly established. Although you will be part of a wider team, certain requirements of the position will require independent working, therefore its essential that you can work in both settings with ease. This does provide a great opportunity for you to help influence the business area and contribute to the wider L&D offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures course content is maintained for all training materials produced.
  • Ensure training platform and L&D management system is up to date and monitor execution of the training strategy in each EU subsidiary.
  • Coordinate country L&D managers implementations of safety university modules for generalist and specialist salesforce.
  • Manage advanced modules production and roll out with our PPE group suppliers.
  • Build trusted partnerships and manage relationships with group and local L&D teams and the business lines to understand learning goals and needs, gain buy-in to proposed initiatives and drive impact.
  • Collect and roll-out to the EU market each successful new local initiative, content and/or best practices related to the knowledge improvement of our employees.
  • Prepare centralized training and induction plans for the Safety Division Leadership, including onboarding of new employees and maintenance of knowledge level of the existing team, including updates on EU norms and regulations and innovation initiatives from our Group Category Management and Group suppliers.
  • Create and roll out a remuneration structure that mirrors and awards the continuous improvement of the level of knowledge by our specialist salesforce.
  • Create an accreditation system with external bodies certification, to monitor the development of the specialist sales force and improve recognition of top talents in the safety organization.
  • Create a central international training offering (“Intersafe Campus”) to provide top tier content and trainings to the best specialists in the division across all countries.
  • Conducting learning needs analysis ensures that the different needs have been considered in the design and delivery of learning solutions.
  • Assess relevant training needs for individuals and teams within business lines.
  • Through close business partnerships and functional expertise, you'll support the creation of engaging learning offerings that are facilitated by L&D, internal experts, and external partners through the Safety University
  • Contributes to the review and develop L&D-related policies, processes and procedures, to best meet the needs of the business and ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Using strong facilitation techniques to deploy face-to-face, virtual or hybrid sessions across a broad range of topics.
  • Continuously seek feedback through formal and informal channels, to learn and adjust as we go, always adopting a test-and-learn mindset.

Required personal profile, qualifications and skills.

- Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Proficient level in Business English & native speaker in Dutch
  • Previous experience in a Business Partner role within Learning & Development
  • Experience in establishing credibility with the business, with a strong ability in delivering solutions.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal clients - must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, high-level influencing and negotiation skills to build confidence, trust and respect amongst senior managers within business lines to promote the value of learning to the business.
  • Previous experience in the design and delivery of face-to-face, online and virtual facilitated training
  • Ability to adopt a flexible approach to the requirements of the job.
  • Experience in managing external contracts, suppliers and partners and an understanding of a wide range of L&D suppliers relevant to international staff development.
  • Proficient IT skills across Microsoft Office, experience with LMS.

- Desirable

  • Experienced L&D professional with a strong track record in all aspects of people development and relevant professional qualifications e.g. CIPD, ILM or equivalent
  • Takes a practical approach to providing what the business needs, making use of network and L&D proposition knowledge to manage and minimize costs wherever possible.
  • Builds effective relationships across all levels to achieve the best results at the right pace.
  • Is curious and enjoys building innovative solutions to support others learning and facilitates engaging workshops, virtually, hybrid and face to face.
  • Continuously develops and keeps up to date with the latest L&D thinking & tools and demonstrates how this knowledge can be applied within Lyreco.
  • Deals with ambiguity and pressure
