Introduction
ASML’s Ethics & Business Integrity team (part of the Legal and Compliance department) is accountable for developing, supervising and strengthening the ethics culture of ASML. It supports raising awareness, providing leadership and expert advice to ensure the development and execution of ethics alongside ASML’s values. The E&BI team also strives to promote the observance of policies and is the guardian of ASML’s Code of Conduct, Speak Up policy, Human Rights policy and Anti-Fraud and Anti-Bribery and Corruption policies
The Ethics Office key responsibilities include:

Managing and monitoring the ASML Ethics, Human Rights and ABC Programs on a day-to-day basis.

Maintaining the ASML Code of Conduct and supporting documents, the Speak Up policy and the Ethics Office, Ethics Board and Ethics Committee charters.

Acts as lead coordinator for Ethics Complaints investigations and cooperates with the investigators (as mandated by the Ethics Committee).

Raises awareness and encourages understanding and compliance with the ASML Code of Conduct and Business Principles and ASML Speak Up Policy.
Your assignment
The Ethics Office is looking for an intern to support its human rights program in day to day matters.
Key deliverables include:

Act as a helper for the project manager for the Human Rights Program and assist in the development of the Human Rights Roadmap

Assist in training and communication efforts, including topics such as the Human Rights Policy and grievance mechanisms in the supply chain.

Assist in Responsible Contracting project and other Responsible Supply Chain projects.
-
Assist in policy-related projects, such as the Human Rights Policy updating project.
-
Assist in projects related to embedding human rights in own operations.
This is a bachelor or master apprentice internship for minimum 6 months (preferably 12), 4/5 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as soon as possible.
Your profile
To be a perfect fit for this assignment, you:

Have a background in law, Human Rights, or a related study;

Have knowledge of human rights legislations;

Have knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint;
-
Have a professional communication and documentation: can explain and present legislation matters within the team;

Demonstrate an interest in human rights topics;
-
Are dependable and accurate team player.
Other requirements you need to meet

You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
