Job Description

We are seeking a leader with experience in handling and leading teams who handle high exposure, litigated BI and UM/UIM claims with high policy limits and significant injuries. The ideal candidate will have experience handling high exposure litigated claims with a preferred background that includes Commercial and Personal Auto, Homeowner and/or General Liability. The candidate should have a proven track record of people development.

  • This is a leadership opportunity and the selected candidate will have up too 7 direct reports.
  • Our BI team is responsible for significant injuries & solely responsible for claims from 250K to 10 million dollars.
  • This role is fully remote and the ideal candidate can be seated in any state across the U.S.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures understanding of business objectives, results, processes, etc. with their direct reports

• Fosters a collaborative environment that inspires and motivates many employees

• Develops and directs business unit action plans

• Manages and resolves escalated customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues

• Accountable for human resources duties, including resource management, hiring, performance management, talent development and compensation planning

• Responsible for complex claim decisions, identification of hiring, training, and succession planning opportunities, and the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategies and process improvements to achieve corporate financial outcomes

• Analyzes results and contributes to the development of strategies and action plans to support the achievement of operational goals related to customer service, loss cost management, and expense controls

* Responsible for the oversight of a team of 5-8 Large Loss adjusters handling high value, high risk, and high complexity claims on high limits policies including Commercial, Homeowners, Personal Auto, and Umbrella claims.

Education

* 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

* 15 or more years of claims experience (Preferred)

* 7 or more years of leadership experience with demonstrated people development (Preferred)

* 10 or more years of large loss and/or litigated claims experience (Preferred)

* Significant experience with commercial, homeowner's, and personal auto bodily injury and UM/UIM claims

Supervisory Responsibilities

* This job has supervisory duties.

* In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Base compensation offered for this role is $105,000 - $135,000 annualy and is based on experience and qualifications.

Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors. including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay, (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role.
