WORK HOURS Monday – Friday, 7am through 3:00pm
Full-time regular team members work 8-hour shifts for 40 hours per week, shift times may vary, extra hours may be added to your schedule to ensure we fulfill our commitments to customers.
Peak Season (January - June) Requirements
- Candidates must be available to work the 2nd Shift
- Mandatory overtime may include some Saturdays and Sundays.

Varsity Spirit, A Varsity Achievement Brand, is looking to hire a Lamination Operator to join our Cover Department. As a member of the Varsity Yearbook Kansas City Yearbook team, you will be responsible for successfully operating machines that laminate offset and digital sheets from both pressrooms.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Operates and maintains laminator during a shift.
- Completes scheduled maintenance on laminator during shift
- Loads/unloads material from skids
- Quality checks every job that comes off the laminator
- Reads and understands work orders and know where to deliver to the next department
- Scans jobs through in YBS
- Assists in meeting work quota
- Communication with all employees including other shifts
- Maintains a good working relationship with lead person and fellow workers
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Assists in other areas as work backlogs dictate
- Additional duties and tasks may be assigned to fulfill assignments or complete work in
the Cover Plant
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES
- Be able to operate hand jack to move skids
- Willing and able to train to run and operate other equipment if quotas and work load allows and safe work environment always.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be capable of performing minor maintenance on machines.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous related experience
- Previous success maintaining a strong attendance and on time record
