Job Description

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the incumbent receives different types of metals, performs an initial classification, and directs them to the appropriate locations.

You will be responsible for:

  • Greeting customers courteously, following our procedures and requirements

  • Assisting in unloading materials

  • Sorting various metals according to their characteristics

  • Inspecting customer metals

  • Identifying the correct type of metal for each product and validating its quality

  • Weighing metals on the scale

  • Entering data into the RECY software

  • Operating various types of machinery (forklift)

  • Preparing receiving/shipping tickets

  • Ensuring cleanliness of the premises

  • Performing any other related tasks

Qualifications

  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a similar role

  • Knowledge of metal recycling (major asset)

  • Forklift experience (major asset); training provided on-site

  • Bilingual (an asset)

  • Demonstrates professional and safety-conscious behavior

  • Versatile and resourceful

  • Team player

  • Strong ability to manage priorities

  • Provides excellent customer service
