Job Description
Mirantis is adding a Technical Support Engineer to our team! We are seeking a very skilled engineer to provide world-class technical support for Mirantis Container and Kubernetes technologies. These technologies include Mirantis Kubernetes Engine, Mirantis Secure Registry and Mirantis Container Runtime and also our emerging technologies as they arrive.
You are a friendly, very outgoing, and very polished communicator who is inherently interested in solving complex problems and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction with every customer interaction. You will work closely with Engineering, and Product Management to represent the voice of the customer.

Our customer base spans from SMBs to enterprise global enterprises. As Mirantis continues to experience hyper-growth and looking to the future, the Mirantis Container Support team is setting our sights to find creative ways to scale efficiency while simultaneously increasing customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:

Become an expert in Mirantis’ Container technologies and customer deployment environments

Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques (debug and diagnose) on critical, highly complex problems that span multiple layers of the technology stack
-
Be an active participant in your team’s efforts to resolve our customer’s complex technical challenges

Partner cross-functionally with product and solution experts to co-develop reference architecture content
-
Create best-in-class help content and proactively perform audits for our publicly-facing knowledge management system

Identify and recommend process improvements to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction
-
Maintain and track detailed records for all customer interactions in our internal ticketing system
-
Manage your workload properly to make sure all customer requests and issues are tracked and handled in a timely manner

Occasionally work and be on call during weekends and holidays

Qualifications
Required Candidate Qualifications:
-
Fluent written and verbal English language skills
-
Outgoing personality; Naturally sociable and approachable
-
3 to 4 (or more) years of technical support, or engineering, or equivalent experience
-
Excellent familiarity with Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu)
-
Excellent Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills
-
Strong knowledge and understanding of networking
-
Strong knowledge of Linux software packaging, distribution, and configuration
Enhanced Candidate Qualifications:
-
Strong Knowledge of Container technologies (e.g. Docker and/ or Kubernetes)
-
Strong Knowledge and understanding of container and Kubernetes networking
-
Strong knowledge of ingress/ egress technologies
-
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes Load Balancing Technologies
-
Good knowledge of REST and RAFT
-
Familiar with Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP, Openstack) and virtualization technologies

Docker Certified Associate (DCA)
-
Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA) - or higher, e.g. CKAD, CKS
-
Understanding of certificate management
Nice to have Qualifications:

Experience with configuring, customizing, and extending Logging and Monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ElasticSearch)

Familiarity with DevOps software such as Puppet, Chef, and Jenkins
