What You'll Do:
- Management of a large Linux/UNIX-based environment supporting the company’s global IT infrastructure services, hosted services, and software development activities;
- Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters;
- Assist with Kubernetes environment architectural improvements and standardization for the infrastructure to implement scalable and resilient infrastructure;
- Collaborate with other teams (Architecture, Development, Test, and Service Assurance) and vendors to develop and support detailed application design;
- Work with other engineers to troubleshoot Kubernetes issues;
- Patch underlying Linux along with Kubernetes platforms;
- Assist with deployment activities and collaborate closely with DevOps to ensure seamless system integration;
- Automate routine tasks;
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation and effectively communicate your implementation approach to team members;
- Issue Resolution: Collaborate with DevOps to promptly find and resolve issues, maintaining a highly available and efficient infrastructure;
- Administration of Enterprise Server Virtualization platforms (including VMware and Hyper-V);
- Management and installation of Enterprise Grade server/storage hardware platforms;
- Collaborate with DevOps teams with respect to the delivery of new IT services.
- The candidate should have a good grounding in Linux or UNIX systems administration ideally within medium to large-scale IT environments;
- Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container best practices;
- Excellent background in virtualization and cloud computing;
- 2+ years of Kubernetes Platforms Experience;
- 5+ years of Linux or UNIX System Administration;
- University degree in IT or equivalent;
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
