We are seeking an energetic and passionate Key Account Manager to manage our Woolworths New Zealand account. This is a critical role, responsible for the implementation of the key strategies that set out to deliver sustainable, profitable growth for McCain across the Woolworths Group via Head Office.
This role is based in Auckland, New Zealand and regular domestic travel will be required.

  • Support and implement an overall customer strategic plan that delivers our annual operating commitment
  • Manage trade investment at or below AOC targets
  • Manage and optimise our portfolio to maximise profit and sales growth across all categories
  • Execute promotional program guidelines to agreed McCain standards and investment parameters
  • Align internally on promotions, pricing and activation for WWNZ
  • To directly manage and implement o ptimised core ranges availability through category reviews
  • Identify opportunities that drive both category growth and development through all data sources
  • Ensure McCain are liaising with buyers/VMI to drive/deliver to forecast and/or during promotional activity
  • Support our Supply Chain team by providing sufficient engagement with our customers to deliver targets
  • Ensure trade spend controls are in place for customers and all accounting and Promotional Advice Form controls are maintained
  • Maintain a tool for tracking in-store activity in the McCain categories for our brands and competitors
  • Manage accurate and timely communication of all promotional plans, NPD etc. down to field
  • Working both internally and externally to develop or create marketing plans to execute through WWNZ and in store
  • Acts as an effective leader and coach, building rapport within the team and developing skills/potential

About you .
Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years' sales experience
  • Previous account management experience, particularly within FMCG
  • Proven track record of negotiation with key stakeholders, particularly at buyer level
  • Excellent forecasting and project management experience


Qualifications:

  • Ideally Degree qualified in a relevant field, i.e. Business/Marketing


Skills:

  • Ability to use a broad range of business reporting tools, e.g. MOS, EDW, SAP, IRI and Dunnhumby
  • Strong numerical and reporting accuracy
  • Attention to detail
  • Solid communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Ability to analyse business data to highlight key result areas
  • Able to interpret and understand company objectives
