Key Account Manager, Ecommerce - Primal Kitchen
Job Summary
The Primal Kitchen KAM for Ecommerce manages sales efforts for the brand across select ecommerce customers and is responsible for Digital Shelf excellence which is inclusive of best-in-class content scores and management. The KAM will work closely with the Director of Sales-Ecom to implement key strategies and growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Key Account Management- Walmart Marketplace, Vitacost, iHerb, & Fresh Direct
    • Deliver growth in Ecommerce channel by effectively managing assortment, promotional calendar, content, pricing health, and developing key buyer relationships.
    • Conduct effective category reviews and sell in new products with current and prospective customers to increase sales.
    • Competent handling of all related administrative duties including new item paperwork, promotional paperwork, internal reporting and tools etc.


  • Digital Content Management - lead best in class content by owning new item launch, product image and copy change, enhanced product pages creation, and brand store management for Amazon, Thrive Market, Walmart.com, etc.
    • Monitor, track, and outline improvement action plans for content scores across key customers on quarterly basis
    • Partner directly with Marketing Creative Director to outline and manage asset support needs and timelines.
    • Work directly with shopper marketing team to coordinate needed support for targeted marketing campaigns to support data driven growth targets


  • Digital Shelf & Perfect Placement - monitor organic placement ranks and propose plans monthly on how to improve for Amazon and Walmart.
  • Monthly reporting on consumption on key customers
    • Use Spins competitive data to track sales and share data - share out findings and shifts


  • Inventory & Shipment Management - Monitor both in-stock and outbound rates to ensure seamless inventory flow to customer base.
    • Manage communication both internally and externally to the customers if any inventory issues arise.
    • Manage shipment creation and inventory levels of Walmart Marketplace with the Sales Ops team.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the minimum qualifications, which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.

  • A self-starter with e-commerce sales or marketing experience
  • Digitally minded individual focused on content, SEO, and page rank
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, quantitative and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of the packaged food business and the importance of operator focus for a premium priced, brand only company like Primal Kitchen
  • Track record of entrepreneurial accomplishments, not risk averse
  • Drive and commitment with a high degree of flexibility
  • Ability to multi-task while remaining customer focused
  • Experience in Salsify, Profitero, and/or Stackline is a big plus

Base Salary Range: $85,400.00 - $106,800.00
Target Total Cash Range: $106,750.00 - $133,500.00
Target total cash represents this role's annualized cash earning potential at target (base salary + target bonus). Target total cash is contingent on targeted company performance achievement and individual attainment of performance goals. Therefore, target total cash is not guaranteed earnings.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
