Job Description:
Preparation of Treasury Reports
- Weekly Cash Position – Analyst will assist in updating and maintaining Ferrovial’ cash position report weekly.
- Cash Forecasting – Update and maintain daily cash forecast. This will require working with external teams to derive the most accurate possible forecast via the use of spreadsheets and other software.
- Bank Account Master – Maintain and update bank account master file containing all relevant account info, signers, and bank contacts
Execute Day-to-Day Cash Management
- Payments – Analyst will assist in the creation of wires and other bank payments both domestically and internationally in foreign currencies.
- Investments – Analyst will monitor current investments, assist in identifying investment opportunities and KYC processes.
- Fee Analysis – Perform monthly bank fee analysis to ensure accurate and appropriate billing and recommend ways to eliminate unnecessary fees.
- Interest Analysis - Perform monthly bank interest analysis to ensure accurate and appropriate billing.
- Bank Account Maintenance – Analyst will assist in opening, closing, and modifying bank account services, documentation, and bank signers
- Bank System Administration – Assist in the setup and configuration of users within Ferrovial’ banking platforms and systems.
- Fraud Monitoring – Monitor bank accounts for check and ACH fraud and clear any exceptions to company’s fraud prevention measures.
- Monitoring the loading of bank statements in the TMS and resolution of incidents.
- Monitoring and reconciliation of movements in FIS – Integrity.
- Monitor bank accounts for Positive Pay exception items. Research and make decisions as needed
- Assist in maintaining banking records and legal documentation
- Assist other departments (e.g., audit, accounting) with quarter-end and ad-hoc information requests as needed
Ad-Hoc Reporting
- Analyst will assist with ad-hoc reporting relating to treasury activities, services, credit card fraud, and product refunds.
Other Responsibilities
- Process - Help ensure financial integrity by setting standards for receipts and disbursement mechanisms. Develop and implement products and services to support those mechanisms. Work with institutions & providers to ensure effective system data interfaces.
- Recommend and implement solutions to strengthen operational controls and incorporate best practices.
- Monitoring and coordination in the preparation and documentation of SOX internal controls assigned to the area.
- Bonds & LoC - Work directly with the Business Development Team to review RFP docs, determine project bonding/LC requirements, fill out needed forms and submit to acquire bonds and LCs, acquire signatures/seals, work with project managers to remit bonds/LCs to ensure they are received by the client.
Project Implementation
- Assist in the implementation of a new treasury projects by working with internal teams, learning the new system, and migrating existing processes to the new system.
- Business transition - Assist in the implementation of processes and procedures of other business units for the definition of the new financial structure in the North America.
BACKGROUND, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- At least 2+ of relevant treasury professional experience.
- Experience working with multiple cultures and remote teams
- Knowledge of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) is highly valued.
- Knowledge of Spanish language is a plus.
Professional Qualities:
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and establish strong relationships
- Strong curiosity and willingness to learn and improve processes
- Very solid experience using various Treasury, banking and financial reporting systems
Computer Skills:
- Must be able to demonstrate high computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Excel, Outlook calendar, Word and Power Point
- Experience with SAP is required
- Knowledge of FIS Integrity is highly valued.
