As part of the Reserve, the QA Engineer will gain hands-on experience by working on a Website, Time Tracking and other internal tools. The goal is to enhance testing skills, improve workflow familiarity, and prepare for future commercial projects.
Job Purpose
As a Junior Software QA Engineer at Leobit company, you must be capable of performing Black-box testing of Web and Mobile platforms. You must have a keen eye for detail, critical thinking, and high organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate high result orientation and responsibility for own work.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and validate requirements (specifications, acceptance criteria, etc.).
- Create Test Documentation (test design, test scenarios, test cases, GUI checklists, etc.).
- Prepare Test Data.
- Perform Functional / non-functional testing of product increments (Web/Desktop/Mobile).
- Prepare and execute SQL scripts.
- Update baseline documentation following requirements changes.
- Create bug reports and document deviations from the expected results with screenshots and videos.
- Provide regular Test Status updates to stakeholders.
- Work with Project and Test Management Tools
Requirements:
- One-year working experience in testing web/mobile applications
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum)
- Understanding the purpose of Software Quality
- Understanding QA's role in cross-functional Agile teams
- Knowledge of Fundamental Test Process Phases
- Knowledge of Testing Types and Techniques (understanding Embedded testing will be a plus)
- Knowledge of Test Documentation types/purpose
- Technical skills in test scenario preparation and test execution
- Technical skills in documenting and troubleshooting defects
- Familiarity with test case/ project management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps)
- Strong self-organization skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
- Level of English: Intermediate or higher
