Senior Golang Engineer

Leobit is a full-cycle web and mobile application development provider for technology companies and startups in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, and the EU. Our technology focus covers .NET, Angular, React, iOS, Android, Ruby, PHP, and a comprehensive range of other technologies from Microsoft, Web, and Mobile Stacks. Our client is an existing financial institution that needs to create a new digital solution for their existing business processes. This is a long-term involvement.

We are looking for a Senior Golang Engineer to join our team.

Requirements:

• Five-year working experience in backend development
• Strong expertise in Golang, with hands-on experience in building production systems
• Experience working with microservices architecture and security best practices
• Solid understanding of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, SSO)
• Strong participation in technical sessions, able to estimate and contribute to technical Discussions
• Critical thinking and strong communication skills — ability to question, analyze, and improve designs
• Hands-on coding 90%+ of the time
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science (or similar technical field)
• Level of English: Upper-Intermediate (at least)

Would be a plus:

• Experience with Erlang/Elixir — The crypto application uses Elixir
• Experience with PHP — The legacy application was written in PHP
• Experience with Next.js/React — Product’s frontend
• Experience with React Native — Product’s mobile application

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Golang microservices
• Migrate legacy PHP components to Golang-based microservices if needed
• Migrate Elixir components to Golang-based microservices if needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects in existing PHP components
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to support various applications
• Estimate development effort for sprint tasks and ensure timely delivery
• Collaborate with the team to achieve sprint goals and contribute to overall success
• Actively participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews, etc.)
