We are looking for our new Junior Specialist - specification management M/F/X.
You will provide support to R&D technical leads in implementing all documentations linked to specification creation, data entry & final approval using Project Life Cycle Management platform (PLM).
You will also participate in the project work stream to launch new products or make product changes through the efficient and timely completion of tasks relevant to all aspects of specification development and change including confirmation, review, input, and approval of specification data including relevant SAP data.
You will execute accurate technical documentation under pressure, championing performance with both an internal and external customer focus with the ability to balance multiple projects at one time. In addition, this role will lead and support technical documentation projects.
This is a CE role, and your main office will be in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, France. Occasional travel to our different sites within France, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, and other locations within Europe and globally are required. You will report to the Senior Specialist - Specifications Management.
Key responsibilities :
Develop Material Technical Documentation

  • You become proficient in understanding PLM (product lifecycle management) function and operation to deliver solutions for specification and recipe development and delivery.
  • You verify product compliance against Company standards regional labeling laws / regulations and hold foundational knowledge of raw materials as they pertain to labeling.


Data Changes and Management

  • You review and confirm ingredient, formula and SKU data change requests communicating corrections with Procurement, Finance, Supplier Quality, Product Development, Marketing and Regulatory as needed.
  • You provide problem solving tools or ideas where gaps are discovered


Support Internal and External Customers

  • You support Customer product information requests while maintaining proprietary and product confidentiality
  • You complete Internal technical documentation requests to create reports to support food safety and quality initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • You have a first experience in the food industry, ideally in Quality, Product Development or Regulatory in the food industry. An experience using Product Lifecycle Management software is preferred).
  • You have knowledge of the food manufacturing operations and production facilities.
  • You have strong communication skills, with both technical / non-technical and are able to communicate technical matters as they relate to the specification database.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, can remain calm and levelheaded in stressful situations and able to work with a sense of urgency
  • You are self-motivated, analytical and solution oriented.
  • Thanks to your creative and flexible mindset, you are able to handle multiple tasks competently.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You are fluent in English; French is a plus.
