The Junior Solution Engineer is an individual contributor role that is actively supporting all the technicalities in the telecom partnership process. The engineer in this role takes part in the pre-sales activities for telecom products, product deployments, connectivity and integrations, improvement of product features, solution design and delivery.
In order to deliver the desired business results, solution engineers collaborate with the regional Operator Partnership teams and other internal teams (product development, core connectivity, purchasing etc.); act as project managers or assist the more experienced project leads as well as provide the regional teams with consultation on the technical aspects of the telecom opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing the regional OP teams with technical support and knowledge by participating in negotiations with telecoms and identifying telecoms’ needs and the possible technical solutions.
- Collecting technical requirements.
- Collaborate with team members in designing technical solutions and service integration plans.
- Presenting technical solutions, assessing if the telecoms' requirements fall out of scope and if they do, escalating internally.
- Conducting the demos and POCs.
- Delivering technical documentation.
- Handling the technical and security questionnaires.
- Acting as a project manager in the solution design, integration and testing phases.
- Supporting the regional OP teams in the closing phase.
- Ensuring that all the projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
- Having an overview of the telecom requirements and providing feedback to product development to steer the development of the product features.
- Having a detailed overview of Infobip’s products and solutions from a technical perspective and understanding the commercial point of view (having a basic grasp of the commercial strategy and what a successful project would need from that point of view); keeping track of any changes and upgrades.
Requirements:
- Graduate or final-year student in the field of Telecommunications
- Basic understanding of concepts such as network protocols and network elements in operator's architecture
- Knowledge of PSTN network
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentations skills
- Availability to work full-time
- Good knowledge of English language, both speaking and writing
- Understanding of project management (nice to have)
The engineer on this level focuses on learning Infobip’s products and solutions as well as the business processes. Having a beginner level understanding of project management, they successfully perform project related tasks, consult with the mid and senior engineers, solution architects and solution managers on the assigned projects/telecoms.
