This position is primarily focused on editing short-form vertical videos quickly and efficiently, allowing our team to produce and iterate content at a faster pace. By creating multiple versions of videos for testing and optimization, they will help maximize performance across social platforms. Additionally, they will support content capture as a second shooter when needed, contributing to a more agile and productive creative team.

This position is on-site at our Los Angeles office (11444 W. Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90064) and requires regular travel. Evening and weekend work may be required as needed.

Job Description

  • Edit & Produce Social Media Content – Edit short-form vertical videos (Reels, TikToks, etc.) using Adobe Premiere and native platform tools, ensuring high-quality, trend-driven content that aligns with brand strategy.
  • Optimize & Iterate Quickly – Create multiple versions of videos for testing and optimization, adapting content to platform trends and audience engagement metrics.
  • Manage High-Volume Editing Workflow – Handle a steady stream of content, contributing to the production of 50+ videos per month across six brands while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends – Continuously monitor social media trends, editing styles, and platform updates to keep content fresh, engaging, and relevant.
  • Support Content Capture – Act as a second shooter when needed, assisting in capturing high-quality footage for the social team.
  • Proactively Anticipate Needs – Work closely with the social team to stay two steps ahead, identifying editing opportunities and workflow improvements before they are requested.
  • Adapt & Troubleshoot – Be resourceful and agile, finding creative solutions to editing challenges and maintaining efficiency under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Portfolio Required – Must provide samples of work or a portfolio showcasing exceptional editing skills, creative storytelling, and trend-driven content. Please include a link to your portfolio in the "Your message to the hiring team" section.
  • Video Editing Expertise – Proficiency in Adobe Premiere with proven success in creating high-quality short-form video content for social media platforms (Reels, TikTok, Meta, etc.).
  • Social Media Savvy – Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and audience expectations, with attention to the small details that set high-performing content apart.
  • Cross-Platform Adaptability – Ability to edit and adapt video formats for different platform requirements, such as transitioning a TikTok layout into Meta-friendly dimensions.
  • Fast, High-Quality Production – Demonstrated capability to produce high volumes of content quickly without compromising quality, meeting tight deadlines with ease.
  • Industry Awareness – A pulse on what brands across industries are doing well on social media, using this knowledge to inform and inspire creative approaches.
  • Experience – Minimum of 1 year of short-form video editing experience.
  • Organizational Skills – Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while maintaining efficiency.
  • Creativity & Personality – A witty, creative thinker with a strong eagerness to learn and contribute fresh ideas, thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Schedule & Travel – Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed, with up to 25% travel.

Pay Rate: $30.00-$33.00/hour may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
