About the Role

We’re looking for ambitious, energetic Junior Sales Representatives to join our growing Sales team in downtown, River North, Chicago. If you’ve ever thrived in a hospitality role, worked in customer service, or just have the gift of the gab and know how to get people excited—this could be for you.

You’ll be on the front line, connecting with local businesses, helping them attract new customers, and shaping the future of their success on Groupon.

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Find and connect with exciting local businesses that could shine on Groupon.

  2. Engage and pitch — you’ll make outbound calls, introduce our platform, and get business owners curious.

  3. Present value through tailored solutions that match a merchant’s goals.

  4. Own your targets — hit your numbers, then smash them.

  5. Build relationships that last — listen, advise, and become their trusted partner.

  6. Work cross-functionally to help get campaigns live and successful.

What You Bring

  1. Confident communicator with strong listening and negotiation skills.

  2. Outgoing personality — you don’t shy away from conversations or challenges.

  3. Able to work in-office 3 days/week in downtown Chicago (4 days during onboarding). 

  4. Comfortable with technology - we are using sales tools and CRMs (Salesforce experience is a plus).

  5. Familiarity with local businesses or the Chicago landscape is a bonus.

  6. Nice to have but not essential - at least 6 months of sales experience — telesales, cold calling, retail, or any role where you’ve had to sell, persuade, and build rapport.

What You’ll Get

  1. Base Salary: $40,000 per year.

  2. Commission: Based on gross profit — no cap. Median total earnings last year for successful BDRs: $60,000.
