Job Description
KPFF is excited to announce an opening of a Junior Information Technology Systems Administrator in our Orange County Irvine office. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for technology and a drive for excellence. This role offers the opportunity to support our IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems, while assisting with troubleshooting issues and providing technical support to users across multiple US time zones virtually.
As a Junior Information Technology Systems Administrator at KPFF, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining IT resources and lending support in areas such as analytics, data, and inventory management. You will be a part of a team of IT professionals who will provide training and shadowing support.
You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration and innovation. You will have the chance to work closely with colleagues at all levels of the organization, from interns to Principals. This is an opportunity for a dynamic candidate to gain IT experience working on complicated IT infrastructure, comprised of multiple sites of servers hosting various functions.

- This is a non-exempt position. All overtime hours are paid at a time-and-a-half hourly rate.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $20.85 - $36.06 per hour, depending on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Duties require in-person attendance, Monday through Friday, during our business hours of 8 AM to 5 PM at our Orange County Site which is located in Irvine.
- Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems
- Including assisting with installation, routine updates, patches, or upgrades to ensure systems are operating smoothly
- Assist with troubleshooting network issues
- Including monitoring performance, troubleshooting office equipment that integrates with the network, and disaster recovery systems
- Provide technical support to users in offices across multiple US time-zones virtually.
- Primarily focused on our OC based employees, this role will problem-solve and support end-users with their hardware, software, licenses, and account permissions.
- Additional assistance for LA based employees as needed.
- Supporting other smaller sites in other US time zones as assigned
- Required to participate in the weekend and evening hours on-call Information Technology Helpdesk rotation for emergency needs.
- Provide IT support in areas such as analytics, data management, and inventory management.
- Organize and maintain IT resources
- Maintain accurate records and document procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or related field required.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, networking, and IT infrastructure including Microsoft Windows and Linux Systems.
- Experience with Active Directory and Cloud Computing is a plus.
- 1 Year of full-time experience providing technical support to end-users in an office environment is required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Duties require in-person attendance, Monday through Friday, during our business hours of 8 AM to 5 PM at our Orange County Site which is located in Irvine.
- All duties are performed in a typical office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
- Duties require the ability to actively engage with a computer for several hours per day.
- May occasionally need to lift items up to 15 lbs.
