Purpose of Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Growth Data Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Data Engineer, you will be crucial in designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines. Working closely with Data Scientists and Engineers, you will develop and implement data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions. You will ensure data quality and integrity while optimizing data processing for performance and efficiency.
Job Description
- Build ETL pipeline based on business users' and data analysts' requirements
- Create and perform tests for ETL pipelines
- Investigate and analyze the ETL pipeline, identifying and resolving performance issues, data inconsistencies, and system failures
- Prepare documentation and data dictionary for data lakehouse
- Validate and refine business logic used in data models to ensure alignment with organizational goals and business rules
- Assist in data modeling and solidifying a fast-evolving data platform
Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Data Science, STEM, or relevant disciplines
- Proven experience in SQL, Python, shell scripting, and big data frameworks
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles, data warehousing concepts, and data architecture best practices
- Experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools
- Experience working with cloud platforms - AWS is preferred
- Certifications in relevant areas such as data engineering, database administration, or cloud computing are a plus
- Prior experience in the Retail and E-commerce industries is a plus
- Proficiency in Google Analytics is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey complex findings effectively
- Be a collaborative team player who can work effectively with data analysts, engineers, and internal teams
- Self-motivated and comfortable to work in a dynamic working environment, and be agile to changes
