Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field studies and surveys to collect data on local ecosystems and biodiversity.
- Analyze environmental data to understand the relationships between organisms and their environment.
- Assist in developing and implementing ecological management plans and policies.
- Prepare detailed reports on research findings and present them to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with international teams to solve environmental problems and promote sustainability.
- Monitor the effects of environmental changes on local ecosystems.
- Advise on the environmental impact of development projects.
- Conduct environmental assessments and audits (experience of international safeguarding standards such as IFC or ADB is useful).
- Promote ecological conservation and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in conducting field studies and surveys.
- Strong understanding of ecology and environmental science.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with international partners.
- Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
- Willingness to travel for field work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on international projects to IFC or ADB safeguarding standards.
- Familiarity with the local and regional ecosystems and environmental issues in Indonesia and South East Asia and elsewhere.
- Proficiency in using specialized software for data analysis.
