Position Description:
- Assist in automating tasks and processes under the guidance of senior engineers
- Support the engineering team in maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Work closely with developers to learn and help troubleshoot issues
- Assist in monitoring cloud environments and creating basic alerts and dashboards
- Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud environments
- Assist with patch management of images and VMs
- Apply configuration changes under supervision
- Contribute to and learn from the platform's documentation
- Learn to implement improvements and best practices
- Assist in maintaining SLOs/SLAs and defining SLIs
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent coursework/certifications)
- Basic understanding of scripting languages (Powershell, Bash)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCE, Azure) is a plus
- Understanding of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)
- Basic knowledge of network protocols
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and tools
- Interest in learning the existing technology stack (.NET, Packer, Terraform, AppVeyor, Vault)
- Awareness of security best practices
