Job Description
We are searching for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our PowerCurve Software Group.
In the role, you will be primarily involved in the evolution and maintenance of the build infrastructure and tools Experian uses to develop & deliver products from our software range, as well as consulting with our teams on best practice.
What you will do:
- Manage continuous delivery systems and their associated infrastructure which are used to facilitate software development
- Contribute towards both maintaining and evolving our build, tools & infrastructure to improve the quality of Experian products and the efficiency of the teams
- Management of local infrastructure, as well as consulting with the development team to produce software applications which are used by internal and external customers
- Act as the liaison between development teams, support and external consultants to facilitate evolution of the software delivery (e.g. release deployment, security testing, etc.)
Qualifications
What you are expected to bring:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent is desired
- Experience with cloud platforms and technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS) would be considered as an advantage
- Good knowledge of automation and configuration technologies such as Jenkins, Terraform and Ansible
- Good knowledge of build scripting technologies such as Maven and Gradle
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Groovy, Windows Batch, Shell Script, etc.
- Good understanding and hands on experience with Windows Server and Linux OS (RedHat, Debian)
- Good communications skills in English
