The National Security Division has a current job opportunity for a cleared Junior DevOps Engineer supporting the C4ISR Solutions Operation. The candidate will guide the definition, implementation, and delivery of programs focused on modernizing a variety of software systems. The selected candidate will leverage their skills to provide their expertise in infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and software deployment across the software development lifecycle. In this role, there is the potential to support multiple contracts to help provide growth and broadening opportunities within Leidos.
This position will primarily be worked on site but will support a hybrid working schedule with up to 25% worked from home.
Primary Responsibilities

Leverage open-source and in-house tools to manage infrastructure via code, designing reusable infrastructure components for scalable, highly-available, secure architectures for container-based and non-container-based applications.

Assist in providing input and expertise to senior engineers to maintain alignments with best practices and recommending system improvements while overseeing the automated deployment, roll-back, and monitoring of applications into software development, test, and production environment

Develop automated CI/CD build/deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker/Podman, and Ansible.

Work with an Agile team, attend daily scrums; communicating and collaborating frequently with teammates to ensure successful completion of project objectives.

Troubleshoot and resolve installation, infrastructure, and system issues.

Identify, report, monitor, and assist with mitigation of technical risks.
Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field with 1 year of experience performing DevOps activities in a professional capacity. May be able to consider additional experience in lieu of a degree.

Requires an active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance.

Knowledge and understanding of DevOps trends and technologies.

Familiarity with Git and development workflows in GitLab, Bitbucket or an equivalent tool.

Experience with Kubernetes application deployment/management tools such as Helm or Kustomize.

Familiarity with automated provisioning and configuration tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible or similar technologies.

Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, network administration, and networking protocols/functions (e.g., HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SMTP, DNS.)

Excellent problem solving and analysis skills, including the ability to logically create structure and order from unstructured inputs.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience developing and deploying software in a DoD environment (DISA experience is a plus), including experience building and deploying software applications that meet DoD security standards and updating applications and code to meet security scans and security implementation guidelines (e.g. STIGs).

Familiarity with GitOps concepts and related tools, such as Argo CD.

Experience designing, developing and deploying software in a cloud environment (AWS is a plus).

Top-Secret clearance

Kubernetes certification such as CKA or CKAD.

Professional cybersecurity certification such as Security+, or similar.

Experience with USSTRATCOM ISPAN domain.

Pay Range:Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00
