What you’ll do 

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our DevOps team by automating and streamlining the CI/CD processes. You will work closely with senior engineers to learn and apply industry best practices in Application CI/CD and Infrastructure as code (IaC).

Due to the secure nature of this role, Australian citizens with a security clearance will be preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and JFrog Artifactory
• Contribute to the automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security scanning and testing tools into the CI/CD pipelines
• Learn and apply scripting languages like PowerShell and Bash to automate routine tasks
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues within the CI/CD pipelines
• Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps trends and technologies

Here’s what you need

• Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash)
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible) will be highly regarded
• Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
