Job Overview:
We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team to help streamline our development and operations processes. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of DevOps principles, cloud platforms, and infrastructure automation and is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management:
- Assist in building, configuring, and maintaining infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Support the automation of server provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
- CI/CD Pipeline:
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Help monitor system health and performance, responding to incidents as needed.
- Assist in setting up monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack) and logging to ensure high system availability and performance.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work with development, QA, and operations teams to understand their workflows and identify areas for automation.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues and escalate as necessary.
- Documentation and Process Improvement:
- Document processes, tools, and configurations for better knowledge sharing and transparency.
- Contribute to process improvements and best practices for DevOps and infrastructure management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., TeamCity, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn new tools, techniques, and best practices in DevOps.
- Problem-solving attitude and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- VMWare, Linux
- Experience with Docker or container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
- Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Subversion, Git).
