Why be a Junior Designer at THG Beauty?
We are looking for a Junior Designer to join our passionate and dynamic creative team. If you have up to 2 years of industry experience, and are ready to contribute your creativity and technical skills to a fast-paced, trend-driven environment, we want to hear from you.
As a Junior Designer, you’ll:
Design & Creative Execution
- Develop and execute visual concepts, graphics, mock-ups, and layouts to communicate campaigns for integrated marketing campaigns across digital and print.
- Design assets for digital channels, including website graphics, email marketing, paid media, and organic social.
- Ensure creative aligns with brand guidelines and contribute to the elevation of LOOKFANTASTIC.com’s brand positioning.
- Detail-oriented design application with a strong understanding of typography, layout principles and the value of brand storytelling.
Motion & Animation
- Produce motion graphics, animations, and video content for use across CRM, social media, paid media, and website campaigns.
- Experiment with emerging video trends to create compelling and innovative visuals that land on each platform.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the CRM, Brand & Marketing teams to deliver integrated marketing assets that meet briefs and deadlines.
- Work on creative projects across CRM, paid social, organic social, store VM, events, website design, and brand collaborations.
- Support CRM team with activation mailers and continue to evolve creative to support and deliver.
Hands-On Production
- Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of typography, layout principles and the value of brand storytelling.
- Assist in managing homepage designs, ensuring a seamless user experience and creative impact.
- Assist in rolling out toolkits and supporting guidelines to best practise.
- Support wider teams in activation on-demand content at speed.
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
- A degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, or a related field.
- 1 year minimum of industry experience, ideally within e-commerce, beauty, or fashion.
- A strong portfolio showcasing impactful graphic design, typography, motion graphics, and animation work across digital and print media.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is essential.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation software, including After Effects, is desired.
- Passion for beauty, skincare trends, and visual storytelling.
- Proactive problem-solver with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Adept multitasker with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiastic and eager to bring fresh ideas to the table.
